Don't get confused by the famous watch brand, Skagen is a beautiful and unique beach that is definitely a must-see for any nature lovers.
Where the North Sea and the Baltic Sea meet but never mix at the northernmost tip of Denmark. One of the main things I love about Skagen is that it is not tourist based. The people who travel here are truly there for the traditional and authentic Danish culture, and to enjoy the wonderful landscape. Bigger homes and a smaller population. Skagen is quiet and peaceful. It forces you to sit back and take in every little thing you see. Every little store, every family restaurant, every path through the brush leading to the beach, every little thing that makes you feel at home. One thing I noticed in Skagen was that you could feel like a true Dane. You stood out, but not like a sore thumb; more like a person begging to learn as much as they can about the simplistic culture.

In the little town, almost all the buildings and houses are yellow with rust red roofs. Skagen is one of Denmark’s main fishing ports. If you’re a seafood fan, this is where you can find the freshest fish. The Danes love their herring. Skagen is the perfect place for people who enjoy nature walks and the simple life rather than the bustling cities filled with people and noise. If you can fit it into your schedule, I would recommend exploring northern Denmark
