Catch Up On Some Much Needed Sleep

Updated: Jan 7, 2022

Despite never wanting to go to sleep while exploring an amazing country, I promise, sleep is your best friends when you cram everything into a few days.

Hotels and hostels are very popular in Europe. Like usual, the most expensive ones are always closer to the lively city attractions. No matter your style, You'll likely be able to find a room that's fit for you.

There are many hotels scattered around the cities in a variety of price ranges. However with a large family, finding a big enough hotel room can be tough; you will likely need to book two. With just my mom and I, it was a perfect size. But I couldn’t imagine my family of five sharing a space that tiny. We called our room our space shuttle. The room is very efficient. When you are travelling, you really only sleep there and then wander again the next morning. We had everything we needed after a long day on our feet.

My mom and I stayed at the Wakeup Copenhagen hotel. There are about three of them in

Copenhagen. We chose this one due to its vicinity and walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go. My favourite thing about this place was the breakfast. It is on the top floor and has a panoramic view of the whole city. We would map out everywhere we went and where we'll go from our window seat while enjoying a wonderful breakfast. Lots of options to choose from, I loved the croissants, yummy and warm, some even had a chocolate filling. I mean, it definitely wasn’t the healthiest choice but it was a vacation. My mom loved the selection of cheeses of course and mainly had a smorrebrød for breakfast.

Hostels are a cheaper option for your stay. There are different options to choose from when booking a hostel. They are typically much cheaper than your average hotel and offer shared amenities. Usually bunk beds, shared bathrooms, and generally a shared kitchen. They are social hubs to meet people from around the world who have the same travel bug as you. Staying in a hostel is definitely on my list of things to do when I travel. There are many hostels available in Europe for all of your needs.
